Swiss decline plan to pay everybody $2,500 a month

A proposal to drastically change social well-being policy has been comfortably rejected in Switzerland. The huge majority of Swiss voters on Sunday declined a referendum that would have provided every resident a surefire earnings of $2,500 Swiss francs ($2,520) after tax, regardless of their employment status or wealth.
