PA Unemployment Rate Rises to 5.5% in May

HARRISBURG, Pa., July 17, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Nowadays, the Pennsylvania Department of Work & Business launched its work scenario statement for May 2016.

Philadelphiais unemployment rate was up two-tenths of the percentage-point from April to 5.5 percent. Pennsylvaniais price stayed above that of America, that was along three-tenths of the percentage-point to 4.7 percent. The earthis price was up three-tenths of the percentage-point since May 2015 as the national price dropped by ten-tenths of the percentage-point within the year.

Philadelphiais civilian work force was up 15,000 in May to some record-high of 6,541,000. As the unemployment count elevated by 17 citizen work dropped by 2000.

Overall nonfarm jobs reduced 10 000, 871. Eight of the eleven supersectors rejected in-May, with five along jobs by atleast 2,000. The biggest boost from this past year was in training & wellness providers (+26,100), as the biggest decrease was in exploration & signing (-8,900).
