Founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of the Wackenhut Corporation, Oasis has grown both organically and through strategic acquisitions to become the largest privately held PEO in the United States.
Two of the original co-founders, Terry Mayotte, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Mike Viola, Executive Vice President of Sales, continue to serve the company today. Oasis’ current President and CEO, Mark Perlberg, joined Oasis in October 2003 as the company completed a successful transaction with its first private equity partner, H.I.G. Capital, to spin off from Wackenhut and stand on its own.

In 2007, Oasis settled into its current headquarters in West Palm Beach. The company is now majority owned by private equity firm, Stone Point Capital based in Greenwich, CT, and has approximately 6,000 clients, 200,000 worksite employees and 29 locations.
