Participating businesses create 100-character cellular notifications that are sent to participating users, who can click on the attached URL to go to with a news article on the publication’s website.
Merely several companies were picked by Social Media Giant Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) to pilot the app, Business Insider said, including that the software continues to be in alpha testing. Facebook declined to comment on the rumors.

The finding comes as both websites increase their emphasis on news–Facebook with Immediate Posts as well as the new “Trending” sidebar. Pew calculated that Facebook is considered a source of breaking news by just 31 percent of participants, compared to 59 percent following Twitter.
No stranger to the media, Facebook Inc (FB) in April 2014 launched FB Newswire–a service which automatically collects the most important, most talked-about stories on the site, then hands them out to journalists and newsrooms.
