CynjaTech and ISACA Partner to Advance Cyber Education for Children and Families

SAN DIEGO, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Today at Comic-Con International in San Diego, CynjaTech and ISACA announced a partnership to create a new fully guided educational experience inside the CynjaSpace mobile application that teaches children and their families about computer science, cyber security and safety. The collaboration will bring ISACA’s industry-leading Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) knowledge and guidance into the successful Cynja comic series and will offer fun, exciting and interactive games and lessons to teach the digital survival skills today’s children need.

“Our kids deserve a better digital life than the one we live today,” said Heather C. Dahl, CEO of CynjaTech. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with ISACA because they certify IT professionals around the globe. By adapting their content and programs for kids and including it in our cool app, we can start children on a path to leading a smart, safe digital life.”

As Chase Cunningham, CynjaTech’s CTO explains, “Our mission is personal—together with ISACA, we will develop the educational lessons that we as technology and security professionals want to teach kids, parents and our own families.”

ISACA is a global professional association serving IT professionals worldwide.

“Partnering with CynjaTech on this app is an important step in ISACA’s commitment to reach children early in their cyber experiences and put them on a path to safety throughout their lives,” said Shannon Donahue, Director of Cyber & Information Security Practices at ISACA. “Cyber security is everyone’s business and should start at a young age.”

“We look forward to showcasing the CynjaSpace app and its awesome new CyberPower education at ISACA’s CSX North America cybersecurity conference this coming October,” said Dahl. “Together with ISACA, we are creating the next generation of cyber education for kids.”
